SCG modernizes blue-light systems at Albany VA

The Structure Consulting Group team completed an emergency communication infrastructure upgrade at the Samuel S. Stratton Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Albany, New York.

The project replaced legacy blue-light hardware with modern, cellular-enabled equipment. SCG's team upgraded emergency call boxes and converted one call-box location to a standalone blue-light tower.

Modern communication, familiar purpose

The upgraded systems support clear audio communication and connections with campus dispatch. Battery backup, weather-resistant housings and system monitoring are part of the new equipment.

The work brings a more modern communication platform to the medical campus while retaining the purpose of the blue-light system: giving people a visible point to request assistance.
